Unfortunately just one major headline in this edition of the newsletter: the Foires Internationales de Luxembourg, organizers of the Telemedicine & Telecare International Trade Fair, regrets to inform you that it has been decided to postpone the 2003 edition of the Telemedicine & Telecare International Trade Fair that was scheduled for next month, 9-11 April 2003.
With the growing uncertainty surrounding a possible armed conflict and the world economic situation, it has been extremely difficult to obtain timely confirmations from possible participants, who had previously confirmed their desire to take part in the event. With the actual cancellation in the last few days of some registered exhibitors, attendees and speakers, the actual attendance at the event and the overall quality of the event were seriously jeopardized and the decision to postpone the 2003 event became inevitable.
It would be unfair to keep the event as scheduled, as it would not render the standard and results that one would righteously expect from a participation at this event.
We remain committed to continue organizing a business event and conference in the field of Telemedicine and would very much like to hear from you with any concerns or suggestions you may have (feel free to send them to ).
You will be kept informed in the following weeks about the next event that is scheduled for April 21-23, 2004. Rather than postponing the event by just a couple of months, we have indeed opted to immediately schedule the next edition for next year and to keep the event in the same time of year.
The positive comments and feedback that we have received throughout the past months from numerous contacts around the world and that we are still receiving today from people who had planned to actually attend the event next month, strongly confirm the true value of this event and we look forward to share its evolution together with you.

Information about some of the presentations and sessions that were planned to be held at the trade fair next month will be featured soon on the telemedicine.lu website together with contact details of the presenters so that you can still obtain valuable and useful information on some of the excellent presentations that were scheduled! If you have information about a project that you are running, or about your activities in the field of telemedicine, feel free to submit it at for possible inclusion into a next edition of the newsletter.
