UltraGenda - provider of generic solutions for resource planning and scheduling, enterprise-wide appointment scheduling, community-wide bookings by referring physicians and patients, real time tracing in technical departments such as imaging or OR, bed planning, and patient transport - will present a case study at Med-e-Tel on the implementation of internet-based appointment scheduling at the Centre Hospitalier de Calais (France). This presentation will be part of the regional CRP-Santi symposium at Med-e-Tel on April 6th.
UltraGenda is primarily known for its innovative scheduling solutions. The company's flagship UltraGenda Pro is market leader in Europe. And its portal application UG Broka opens the door to community-wide healthcare bookings, a revolution that is just about to start. The company is also engaged in web-native applications to support other healthcare planning processes that have a huge impact on efficiency and are insufficiently addressed by existing systems. Integration with existing HIS systems is proven, documented, and based on international standards.

At Med-e-Tel, Selligent, the Belgian enterprise that has become one of Europes leading CRM (Customer Relationship Management) developers, will present its latest solutions, which are the outcrop of its substantial experience in this area in the French market. Selligent will also participate in the regional CRP-Santi symposium at Med-e-Tel on April 6th, presenting a case study on "CRM in mutual insurance companies and healthcare insurance organisations."
Selligent will be the only CRM vendor at this event and plans to highlight its solution that has been successfully deployed at several mutual insurance companies in France (CIMUT, MGET, Sud-Ouest Mutualiti, etc.). These users appreciate the benefits of a member relationship tool that gathers all the information they need, such as identification data, products concerned, services provided. As a result, the consultants or membership managers have a very clear and up-to-date picture of individual situations and that enables them to better respond to their members' needs. Moreover, the information system installed is seamlessly integrated in existing IT solutions in place.
"One of the major strengths of our solution is its ability to adapt to the dynamics of the client company, and that in a sector that is changing rapidly. At Med-e-Tel, we will be demonstrating our contribution to the reforms taking place in the mutual insurance sector and that of healthcare insurance in general," explains Andri Lejeune, Selligent CEO.
Meet Selligent representatives in stand 1C-31 at Med-e-Tel.

"We now collect more data on our automobile engines than we do for most people in their lifetimes, except when they are hospitalized, which is really too late," according to the Honeywell HomMed philosophy.

Since 2002, Omron and Melexis Connectivity Solutions have cooperated in telemedicine. We connected Omron's clinically validated 705IT blood pressure monitor with the Melexis I-Modem705IT and sold over 20.000 of these sets, proving the reliability of the solution. The results of Dr. Vladzymyrskyy's trial in the Ukraine, which he will present at Med-e-Tel 2006, prove that using telemedicine this way is a clear addition to the medical practice. Key features:
- very easy to use;
- plug-and-play: just plug it in phone and power and it works;
- monitoring via internet;
- resulting in better management of CVD.
The readings are directly visible on the protected website giving doctor and patient direct feedback on the effects of the treatment and medication.
Special Med-e-Tel offer:
At Med-e-Tel 2006, sign-up for a blood pressure telemedicine set directly on our stand and start putting telemedicine to practice when you get home. No subscription, no hassle, just start using it. We hope to see you at Med-e-Tel 2006!

Healthware, a European Commission co-financed project, gathers around project coordinator Alcatel Alenia Space, 19 other partners from the world of telecommunications and engineering, and also university hospitals, research and medical institutions, who have all come together to implement different pilot networks of tele-expertise, tele-consultation, home services for patients and medical training, spread throughout Europe.
The project's pilot phase targets at demonstrating the added-value of satellite communications for a better delivery of healthcare in the frame of three medical specialties: chronic respiratory diseases, oncology and cardiology.
Benefits of this solution are numerous, providing medical staff with a large broadband access to expertise and hospitals, allowing a better management and coordination of care in case of emergency or crisis, making it possible for patients to be monitored and cured while staying at home, offering access to medical training, medical information and knowledge without any geographical barrier, and also, allowing to make substantial savings in healthcare expenses thanks to a better coordination of care and services.
The first workshop organized by the Healthware Consortium on 6 April 2006 at Med-e-Tel is dedicated to the presentation and the promotion of the expected benefits offered by the availability of telemedicine applications, especially for remote areas, and of the deployment conditions on the field of such a light and cost effective DVB-RCS technology, and, finally, of the project's achievements up to its first year of activities, by giving the word to the medical user partners of the project.
More details about the Healthware workshop program are available at www.medetel.lu/index.php?rub=educational_program&page=program.
